Common Questions and Answers

If you are planning your first trip to us, you are probably wondering what to expect. We are here as a haven of relaxation, so there's no reason to feel nervous but to help you, here are some commonly asked questions. If you do have anything you would like to discuss, our therapists love to talk through treatments with clients, and are here to make sure you have a great experience.

Question: Will I have to be naked for my massage?

Answer: This is the number one question and the answer depends entirely on you. It's normal to be at least partially undressed – whilst having a body treatment, your therapist will need you to undress down to at least your underwear but, don't worry, they are all skilled in the art of 'towel arranging' so that your modesty is protected at all times.

Question: Should I talk during my treatments or stay quiet?

Answer: Again, this decision is completely up to you. Sometimes clients like to chat while they are having a treatment, to find out what's being done or just to be sociable. Others prefer to sink into relaxation and let the therapist get on with it. Either way is fine, and whoever is carrying out the treatment will just take their cues from you.

Question: What should I do if I’m not happy with something during a treatment?

Answer: Please tell your therapist straight away – everyone is different so what feels nice in a treatment for one client may be too firm or not strong enough for another. If anything is uncomfortable, a product might react with your skin for example, speak up. We really do want you to have a fabulous experience and the whole point of your treatment is to make you feel good!

Our Best Pre-Treatment Advice

  • Arrive early – make the most of every moment of your time with us by arriving a little early. This will give you time to complete our client questionnaire (first visit only) and be calm and relaxed for your entire treatment.
  • Turn your mobile phone off – we want you to relax completely so please either turn off your mobile phone or switch it to silent mode.

Our Top Tips for Aftercare

  • Eat and drink lightly – avoid alcohol and heavy meals for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
  • Remain hydrated – always drink plenty of fresh water after your treatment.
  • Unwind – stay relaxed and try to keep warm for the next 12 hours.
